The media blitz surrounding Magnum ice cream bar, the newest craze in town, is so effective that I kept wondering over and over if it really tastes as good as it looks. I finally found out a few days ago if it's worth all the attention. I went to 7-11 and bought the Classic flavor, a silky vanilla bean ice cream covered in a thick layer of Belgian milk chocolate, for P55. The vanilla ice cream was not so sweet which was what I preferred, but the Belgian chocolate is much too sweet for my taste. Honestly, I preferred our local ice cream bars. I have yet to try the other flavors though. Maybe those would taste better.

I've tried the choco truffle flavor on my bday and heck, i went to the gym to workout coz it has 200 calories.. ive tried classic too last week but i think this is just overrated.. they wanted people to be curious about this.. lol

ReplyDeleteI have been hearing good and not so good stuff about Magnum. I have yet to try it. I promised the Little Ones I will buy this if they behave for 2 weeks. The 2 weeks is almost up and looks like they will be getting their Magnum reward. I'll share with you our opinion on Magnum then.

Usually, I'll only have a taste and then I'll ask hubby or the youngest to finish my share of ice-cream.
I'm also very late in trying out trends whether it's food, clothes etc.
Well, perhaps if we are travelling, and I see the new magnum, I might just buy it for my family and see what they think about it.
In my almost 2 decades of living abroad, I still prefer Magnolia ice-cream! hahaha
How I miss Rocky Road. >.<
