Tomato Online Purchase

I have always loved Tomato's products. That is why when I received an email this morning saying that they are having a one day 20% discount on all their items online, I immediately went to their store and bought the earrings I have been drooling over for days now.

This is my first time to shop at Tomato Online Store and it was really easy. I added the item in my cart and proceeded to fill out all the pertinent information then chose my payment method. That's it. They emailed me the invoice number along with the steps on how to pay. I followed the simple steps and emailed back the invoice number and GCash reference number (since I paid via GCash). Now all I have to do is sit back, relax and wait for my earrings to arrive.

Tomato sells clothes, accessories, watches, wallets, bags, etc. They ship all over the Philippines as well as in other countries worldwide. Accepted payment methods are credit card, PayPal or over-the-counter bank deposit.

The Following: An Exciting New Series

I was able to watch the pilot episode of the series The Following on Jack City last Saturday. Since I like Kevin Bacon, I was looking forward to watching it. I am also into suspense/thrillers so that was another factor that drew me in. It is about an FBI agent who tracks down a serial killer who escapes from prison with the help of his followers (he is a charismatic former college professor). The FBI agent played by Bacon has a lot of history with the serial killer played by James Purefoy. The serial killer wants to seek revenge on the FBI agent who caught him and slept with his wife. He also wants to finish off his last victim who miraculously survives the attack.

I am surely gonna watch the next episode because the last one was such a cliffhanger. I cannot wait for the story to unfold. The Following is quite gory and violent, so if you feel icky about things like that, then this is not for you.

My 2nd Bubblews Payment

I received my second payment from Bubblews last night. I was pleasantly surprised to receive it this soon because the first time I redeemed, I received an echeck in my email and waited for five days for it to clear. I actually started to have misgivings about this site because of some negative posts I have read. Some members wrote that they weren't paid while others say that some of their redemptions were paid while others were not. I didn't want to waste my time and effort so I didn't post as much as I could and only posted when I had time. But I guess all my doubts were laid to rest when I received this payment. One lesson I've learned is to think positive. If you know that you didn't violate any of their rules, rest assured that they will definitely pay you. But I also wish that they have a clearer set of rules so that some bloggers who didn't receive their payments won't be at a loss as to the reason why they didn't receive theirs. Anyhow, I'm happy I received mine and will surely write more posts for Bubblews again.

Reviewing Books for Booksneeze

I heard about Booksneeze from one of my blogger friends. Since I love reading books, I checked out their website right away. It's a website where you can get free books or ebooks in exchange for an honest review on your blog. I read their FAQ's and it says there that they no longer accept international bloggers but since I was really keen on getting free books, I signed up anyway. Good thing I did because I got accepted. I proceeded to choose my book from their available books tab and requested for it. I hope it arrives soon so I can write a review asap and request again for another one. A blogger is required to post a review of 200 words or more on her/his blog or a consumer website. After finishing your review, login to Booksneeze and provide a link to your review. You can't get multiple books. You have to submit a review of your first book first before you can request again for another book. Book lovers what are you waiting for? Sign up at Booksneeze now!

Loving My Nail Art from Nailaholics

I've been so busy with my writing job that I haven't had time to update my blog. But I can no longer put off writing my experience last Friday at Nailaholics (SM Sucat). Despite of the fact that I love having my nails done,  I haven't tried nail art. I've been seeing a lot of DIY pictures on Facebook and have been increasingly curious about it. I love everything pretty so I decided that I want it done on my nails too. I even bought a starter's kit on ebay. I originally did not intend to go to the salon last Friday but as I was strolling in the mall, I figured out that now is the right time to have my nails done since I didn't want to shop again.

I love Nailaholics because the place is so cozy and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Their SM Sucat branch is quite small but when I went there, only a few customers were around so they were able to do their job on me right away. They had a bunch of beautiful designs that's why I kinda had a hard time choosing. But there was this one really cute design with flowers and gold dust that caught my attention so I chose that. My manicurist, Maricel, was very competent and meticulous that's why my nail art came out so beautifully. I totally love it! Some people might think twice in availing of this service since it's quite pricey (I paid P240) but I personally think it's worth it. I can't stop looking at my nails. They have tons of other services so please check out their website

McDonald's Coupons

I had McDonald's spaghetti and sundae delivered yesterday. I like ordering from them because they don't have a minimum charge. So even if you only buy one food item, you can do so. But they do have a P40 delivery charge. Anyhow, my orders came with their annual coupons where you can get as much as a P50-discount. The coupons are valid for dine-in, take-out, drive-thru, and McDelivery. You only get to use 1 coupon per transaction. Customers can really save a lot. Imagine having 2 pieces of chicken and a regular Coke for only P95! The promo runs from January 1 to March 15, 2013 so there's plenty of time to avail of these coupons.

Yuka Nail Polish Remover Wipes

I actually got this from my November BDJ Box. It's the first time I've encountered such a product and I like its unique concept. I hate removing nail polish because it gets so messy sometimes. Adding to that is acetone that's mixed with too much water that you'll consume half the contents of the bottle before you get to remove all your nail polish. With the Yuka Nail Polish Remover Wipes, removing your polish is easier and faster. It's acetone-free and has non-drying ingredients. It's so handy that you can take it anywhere. There are 35 sheets in that small container. I removed my nail polish yesterday and I only used 3 sheets. So it's really economical. Every woman should have this in their bag.

Easy Nail Art

I've always been a nail junkee. Seldom will you see me without a nail polish. I kinda feel naked when my nails are bare. Although I like having my nails done, I've never really tried nail art. So when I was browsing ebay and chanced upon a Salon Express Nail Art Stamping Kit, I bought it right away. Judging from the instructions, it's very easy to use. The kit includes:

Nail Design Stamper
5 Pre-designed Image Plates
Image Plate Holder
Nail Polish Scraper

Easy instructions:

1.)  Apply nail polish to desired image on the image plate.
2.)  Use the scraper to remove excess polish from the image plate.
3.)  Press stamper onto image to pick up the pattern.
4.)  Simply stamp image onto nail.

I bought this for only P59 and paid P50 for the shipping fee (only P109!). I'll see how this works first before trying the services of a salon. Good luck to me!

Celeteque DermoScience Restorative Firming Day Cream SPF15

As I was rummaging through my drawer yesterday, I saw this unused box of Celeteque DermoScience Restorative Firming Day Cream SPF15. It was a prize I got from a blog contest I won last year. I'm using another brand that's why I forgot all about it. A lot of users have attested to the effectiveness of this day cream so I'm thinking of trying it. I'll definitely post a review once I test it.

According to the Celeteque website,  Celeteque DermoScience Restorative Firming Day Cream SPF15   has Phytocelltec and Rye Seed Extract that help restore the skin’s natural lifting properties, leaving the skin more firm. It contains UVA/UVB Sunscreens that provide SPF15 for protection against the harmful effects of the sun that may lead to premature skin aging. These ingredients restore overall skin’s youthful look and vitality. This day cream sells for P899.

First Bubblews Payment

I don't really post articles everyday in Bubblews only when I'm not busy with work. So it's such an amazing thing when I finally reached the minimum payout of $25. Less than a day after I redeemed, I received an email with a Paypal e-check saying that I'll receive the money in 5 - 7 days. Yesterday, the money was deposited in my account. Now I can surely say that this site pays and is totally legit. I hope I can post articles again as often as I want but I don't really have the luxury of time. I guess I'll just have to make time for this very promising website.

Beauty and the Beast 2012 TV Series

I used to watch the old version of Beauty and the Beast starring Linda Hamilton. Now I'm also watching the new version starring Kristin Kreuk as Catherine Chandler or Beauty. I also like this version because it's a modernized version. Catherine is a detective here and she gets to kick ass. Jay Ryan who plays Vincent Keller (Beast) is so hot. He was part of a military experiment that went wrong that's why he transforms every time he gets mad. The two main stars look good together and I'm quite excited what will happen next to their characters and all the other things that will unfold.

Merienda Time at Burgoo

I needed some pampering so my nephew and I headed off to Headway Salon at SM MOA yesterday to have my nails done and eyebrows threaded. After that we decided to have merienda at Burgoo. I remember eating there with my friends last year and I didn't like the food. But since we were only having merienda, I gave it another shot. This time I liked everything we ordered. I must admit that all the food are pricey but they're delicious so it's money well spent. We had Mississippi Mud Pie, Black and White Choco Cheesecake, Strawberry Cheesecake, Cheddar Cheese Fries, and Carbonara.

There were a few diners so we were able to fully enjoy our meal (I hate crowded restaurants). The servers were really nice and accomodating too. I'll definitely dine at Burgoo again.

More Zalora Shopping

I bought two necklaces from Zalora the other day. One is a snakeskin necklace while the other is a tribal necklace. Both are by Mia Casa. I would have wanted to shop for more items but that wouldn't be a nice thing to do since I don't want to spend too much at the start of the year. I just couldn't resist these two necklaces. They would definitely go well with the black Freeway top I bought last week. Talk about spicing up my outfit. But for sure, this won't be the last time I shop at Zalora. Definitely.

Arrow TV Series

I've been watching this American action-adventure television series called Arrow every night. It is based on the fictional character Green Arrow, a costumed crime-fighter who appears in comic books published by DC Comics. It's about billionaire Oliver Queen, who after five years of being stranded on an island, returns home to fight crime and corruption as a secret vigilante whose weapon of choice is a bow and arrow.

I like this series because of the story line and the actor who's playing Green Arrow. His name is Stephen Amell. He's just so good looking and charismatic. I'm looking forward to seeing the other DC Comics characters like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Aquaman etc.
