My Sizzlin' Pepper Steak Experience

I was able to spend some bonding time with my nephew last week at the Newport Mall, Resorts World Manila before classes started. I first went to Fab Salon to have a manicure while he played at GameZoo. Then we decided to have our merienda at The Sizzlin' Pepper Steak. The good thing about going to this mall is that it's not too crowded and people are able to enjoy the time spent with their family. There were just a few customers and we were seated in a comfortable corner of the resto. I must say that their menu is quite extensive and I didn't know what to order at first. There were just so many dishes I wanted to try but since I was hungry I decided to go with their bestseller, the Beef Pepper Rice. We also ordered the Sizzlin' Soya Cream Tuna, Classic Carbonara, Chicken Caesar Salad, and Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream.

I was kinda surprised at how fast they served our food, which I thought was a big plus. Everything we ordered was delicious especially the Beef Pepper Rice. The service was also good, with everyone smiling and catering to our every whim. The resto was not that big but it's cozy. The prices are a bit steep though and some people might get discouraged. But I thought that it was worth it because I enjoyed the food. I really don't mind paying extra if my palate is fully satisfied. I'll definitely come back at The Sizzlin' Pepper Steak for more of their sizzlin dishes. 

Merienda Time at Burgoo

I needed some pampering so my nephew and I headed off to Headway Salon at SM MOA yesterday to have my nails done and eyebrows threaded. After that we decided to have merienda at Burgoo. I remember eating there with my friends last year and I didn't like the food. But since we were only having merienda, I gave it another shot. This time I liked everything we ordered. I must admit that all the food are pricey but they're delicious so it's money well spent. We had Mississippi Mud Pie, Black and White Choco Cheesecake, Strawberry Cheesecake, Cheddar Cheese Fries, and Carbonara.

There were a few diners so we were able to fully enjoy our meal (I hate crowded restaurants). The servers were really nice and accomodating too. I'll definitely dine at Burgoo again.

Hearty Merienda at the UCC Cafe Terrace

I went yesterday to Newport Mall with my nephew for a much needed time away from work. I had my nails done first at the Fab Salon and then we had merienda at UCC Cafe Terrace. It was my first time to dine at that branch of UCC so I was kinda excited. Sure thing because all the food we ordered were yummy. My nephew had a Tiramisu Cake and we all shared the big servings of Chicken Teriyaki and Eggplant Sandwich, Sausage and Bacon Pizza Toast, and Fudge Brownie Sundae. They have a lot of dishes in their menu so I'd love to come back for more.

Papa John's Pizza Dining Experience

My family and I took advantage of the long weekend to bond by having a hearty lunch at Papa John's Pizza's BF Paranaque branch. It's my first time to eat at Papa John's and I must say that I really like the food and their cozy ambiance. Since it was a holiday, there were only a few diners so we were able to enjoy our meal more (I hate crowded places).

There are a lot of yummy food to choose from in their menu (pizza, pasta, salads, soup, side items, desserts). We ordered Hawaiian Pizza, Carbonara, Meatball Bolognaise, and Caesar Salad. We had a discount coupon so we were able to chop off P500 from our bill. Isn't that amazing?! I'm definitely coming back for more of their mouth watering dishes.

I almost forgot to post these photos I took when my bestfriend and I ate at Red Crab at the Newport Mall. I can't even remember when we ate there. I know that it's late afternoon that's why we only ate pasta and salad (we eat like horses when we have lunch, hehe). Just thought I'd share them. :)

Stackers Burger Cafe Experience

I almost forgot to share these photos I took of us enjoying merienda at Stackers Burger Cafe. The food was yummy and the place was not too crowded but it was kinda small though. Nevertheless, it's still a nice hang out place.

Fun Afternoon at Newport Mall

My family and I took advantage of the holiday to spend some quality time at Newport Mall at Resorts World Manila. My sister and I went around to window shop and then ate some yummy Rocky Road and Pistachio crepe at Crepes & Cream. Then we met up with the rest of the gang to have merienda at Krazy Garlik. The Garlic and Anchovy Affection, Pepperoni Pizza, and Caesar Salad were all delicious. I was so caught up with all the food that I forgot to take pictures of them (you can't really blame me guys! LOL!). :) There's going to be another long weekend next week so we might go out again. I'm already looking forward to it.

My Coffee Haven: The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

My best friend and I had our monthly pigging out trips yesterday and went to the Newport Mall at the Resorts World Manila. We ate lunch at The Red Crab and had our dessert at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. I seldom drink coffee but when I do, I always make it a point to go to CBTL. Other people are crazy about Starbucks but I prefer CBTL. The branch at the Newport Mall is rather small but it has that cozy ambiance which I really like. I'm even thinking of going there regularly and bring my laptop so I can work there instead of here at home. Plus, it's not very crowded so we were able to choose where we want to sit. As usual I ordered my favorite Original Mocha ice blended coffee with whipped cream and Guiltless Chocolate Delight Cake while Jenny had Double Chocolate Latte and Cappuccino Sansrival.

Merienda at Icebergs

A few days ago, my bff Jenny and I had our occasional "catching up" and "pigging out" session. At first we drove around the SM Mall of Asia grounds to see where we can eat but eventually settled for a a place away from everyone else. Icebergs at Harbour Square in the CCP Complex. The place was so quiet. Aside from us, there was this one family having merienda. This wasn't the first time I ate food from Icebergs so I wasn't surprised at how yummy everything was. I had burger and nachos delivered a few months ago via my City Delivery GCs and I kinda promised myself that it's not gonna be the last. We ordered their Mighty AJ's Beef Burger Meal which was rather big so we shared it. I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture of the burger and started devouring right away. We also ordered their Icebergs Tower which was a combination of six scoops of different ice cream flavors with almonds, brownies, and banana. It was so delicious!

So the next time you go out with your family or friends for merienda, I suggest you try dining at Icebergs. If you're tired of the usual fast food chains, this is really a very good alternative. The price is also reasonable and there's a variety of choices including Kiddie Spaghetti with Southern Fried Chicken, Ribeye Tapsilog, Korean Beef BBQ, Halo-halo, Sundae, Con Hielo, and a lot more.
