Vivo V17 Pro’s Dual Selfie Camera Lets Users “Shoot Beyond Limits” Shoot Beyond Limits With Vivo V17 Pro Dual Front Camera, Exclusive Selfie Apps

There was a time when taking selfies was as basic as capturing one’s close-up image, often to highlight an appearance or a spectacular scenery in the background. While selfie shooters yearned to capture more elements in their frames, they were limited mostly by the technology of the front-facing cameras at that time.

In recent years, advancements in optics technology and software development have given birth to front-facing cameras that offer better resolution and image quality, as well as AI-enhanced photography apps. These, in turn, have transformed selfie shooting, from a mere trend, to a skill, even an artform.

Today, companies like Vivo, are taking the lead in pioneering technology that enhances the smartphone experience. This includes taking selfie shooting to new and higher levels.

Just a few months after unveiling its V15 Pro with the world’s first 32MP elevating selfie camera and an AI triple rear camera, the leading global technology company has already launched V17 Pro, the second flagship smartphone in its V series of midrange smartphones.

Now, improving from its predecessor, the V17 Pro boasts of another world’s first, an exclusive pair of front cameras—a 32MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture and 8MP 105-degree super-wide-angle camera—which ensures clearer and fuller selfies, in whatever environment.

Much like the V15’s selfie optics, the V17 Pro’s dual front cameras are tucked behind the smartphone’s notch-less Super AMOLED Ultra FullView™ Display, nestled in a wide pop-up mechanism that elevates as quickly as it retracts.

With the premium smartphone’s dual elevating selfie camera, users will never need selfie sticks to capture “groufies” or the splendid panoramic view behind them. All they have to do is access the super-wide-angle camera and “shoot beyond limits”.

For nighttime selfies, the front camera gets ample support from Selfie Softlight that lights up dark images and an exclusive Super Night Selfie mode which captures and combines multiple frames into one image to make one’s face stand out, especially in low-light conditions.

There is also a “Pose Master” feature which suggest several poses to match various photo scenes and backgrounds, to make one’s selfies even more creative.

Aside from its elevating dual selfie camera and AI powered and enhanced selfie apps, the V17 Pro also boasts of AI quad rear cameras—48MP main camera, 8MP super wide-angle, 2MP bokeh, and 2MP super macro camera—which can capture super macro images from a distance of just 4 cm., and super wide clear images, even in dark surroundings.

Affordable Computing Now a Reality in the Philippines

Creating a reliable and cost effective information technology infrastructure is perhaps one of the most challenging task every business had to face.  Providing desktops, servers, connectivity and the likes is easier said than done especially when technology changes rapidly and pricing also varies.

Businesses need not worry anymore however because affordable computing is now available in the Philippines through NComputing.  NComputing provides a very powerful alternative to the usual one user to one desktop setup in the office.

What Ncomputing does is distribute the unused computing power of one desktop to several users using its relatively small kits which is barely 5 watts in power consumption.

What are the Key Benefits of using NComputing?

An End-to-End, Fully Integrated Desktop Virtualization Platform
Superior user experience with desktop roaming and high performance multimedia
Reduces desktop computing acquisition and management costs
Increases productivity by enabling users to work securely from anywhere with any device
4 million seats deployed, used every day by 20 million users in 140 countries
Unified, centralized manageability for IT
Flexibility and agility for the business

By utilizing NComputing you also contribute to a greener planet:

Cut Electricity up to 90% - NComputing devices use 1-5 watts of electricity as compared to 110 watts of a PC.
Less CO2 emissions – A 500-seat NComputing deployment would reduce 9 metric tons of CO2 emissions and would save over 70,000 KWh per year.
90% less e-waste – Electronic waste represents only 2% of trash in landfills but represents 80% of toxic waste. As compared to a typical PC’s weight of 9.5Kg, an NComputing device weighs only 150gm.
Less heat, low air-conditioning requirements – A typical PC generates 375 BTU/hr as compared to an NComputing device which generates almost no heat (less than 4 BTU/hr).
No Obsolesence – Solid state device based NComputing lasts for 2-3 refresh cycles of a PC.
Less number of UPS, network switches etc  besides PCs in NComputing environment
RoHS Compliant

Learn more about how you can tap on affordable computing and empower your business with it. Visit www.mseedsystems.com and contact them.  Utilize the excess power of your devices and convert them into a more productive use in your business.

My New Asus Netbook

I've been putting off buying a new laptop for the longest time since I'm still saving up enough money to purchase something in cash instead of relying again on my credit card. Unfortunately, that I had to do last week because my netbook died on me. I've had my computer since 2010 so the battery really needed to be replaced. The only reason why I was still able to use it was because I always had it plugged. I felt kinda sad and anxious when it wouldn't turn on because it happened at a time when there's so much work to be done. I had deadlines here and there. But it served its purpose for 5 years so I had to let it go :( .

I borrowed my nephew's laptop to be able to work while waiting for the new lappie I bought at Lazada Philippines. I didn't really need a very sophisticated laptop, just something that can do enough. My order arrived after 2 days, on a Sunday. I didn't know that Lazada delivered on Sundays so this was another feather on their cap. Anyway, my black Asus X102BA-DF040H 2GB AMD A4-1200 10.1" Touchscreen netbook is working just fine. Here are some of its specifications:

Operating System: Windows 8.1
Touchscreen
CPU (model and speed): AMD Temash Dual Core A4-1200 1.0 GHz RAM and Hard Disk Drive
2GB RAM and 500 GB HDDGraphics
Intel HD Graphics Memory and expandability options
500 GB HDDConnectivity options
Ethernet LAN, WiFi
Bluetooth Camera Resolution (MP)
HD Webcam

Additional Information:

Battery type and charge (mAh): 3-cell Li-on Battery
Optical drive (CD): SuperMulti DVD burner
Power Consumption:  220V / 60Hz

P.S.   I bought this for only Php 13,499 (inclusive of VAT) plus free shipping (such a steal!).

My New Starmobile Engage Tablet

Finally, I bought myself a tablet yesterday that I can use for random stuff after my netbook gets "tired". I actually bought it for the specific reason of using it to read ebooks. I contemplated on buying a Samsung Galaxy Tab but it's too expensive just to be used as an ebook reader. I wanted something simpler and of course more budget friendly. The Starmobile Engage tablet has a lot of features that makes its price of P5,990 quite worth it. Here are some of them:

 1.)  7.0" Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
 2.)  Capacitive Multi Touch Display
 3.)  WiFi
 4.)  3 MP Camera
5.)  Multimedia (MP3 Player, Voice Recorder, supports Flash Player)
6.)  Social Media (Facebook, MSN, Twitter, Skype, Yahoo Messenger, YouTube)
7.)  Expandable memory up to 32 GB
 8.)  Google Play Store
 9.)  Supports USB Modem
10.)  Up to 100 hours standby time and 3 hours video time

Slow Sun Broadband Internet Connection

Since I have tons of things to do online everyday (it's my means of livelihood), it's a must that I have a fast and reliable internet connection. I'm almost online the whole day. I was so frustrated last night when I tried connecting to the internet and was unable to. My Sun Broadband USB stick which I'm paying P799 per month for went wonky on me. Loading took so long and I got disconnected so much. I didn't call their customer service right away since I thought the matter will be fixed this morning. Imagine my surprise when this morning the same problem persisted.

I transferred my network connection from WCDMA to Edge just so I can work. Loading one website took so long but since I wanted to finish something from my work load, I waited patiently. I again put off calling Sun's customer service since I was hopeful that connection would get better in the afternoon. Again, I was frustrated. I was at my wits end so I decided to call them. I stayed talking to the CSR (Customer Service Representative) for 30 minutes, doing troubleshooting for what seemed like hours. Unfortunately, it didn't do any good. He reported the matter to the technical department and advised me to monitor my connection.

My connection is better now, thank God. But I don't know until when. I just hope that what happened last night never happens again. I'm also thinking of changing my network provider to something that's more stable and reliable. I'm going to start researching for the best internet provider and get their service and hopefully never be at my wits end again.

My Sun Cellular Easy Broadband SIM Plan

I recently changed my Sun Broadband Wireless Plan 350 Lite to Easy Broadband SIM Only (because I already have the USB modem). I realized that the free 45 hours that Plan 350 Lite offers is just not enough since I'm infront of my lappy almost all day. It usually lasts only 12 days for me. For the rest of the days remaining I buy the P50 unlimited internet (good for one day) and when you compute that it's just too much especially for someone like me whose on a budget. With the Easy Broadband I'm able to enjoy up to 2 Mbps speed of unlimited internet for only P799 a month. Plus there's no holding period so if ever you get dissatisfied with their service you can always look for a better broadband deal. What I like the most though is how easy it is to apply for this broadband plan. You don't have to present any documents, simply show a valid ID and fill out the application form. I have a huge issue when it comes to how fast the processing period is because I waited almost three months only having to find out in the end that my application was rejected when I applied for a PLDT MyDSL (but that's another story). So far I have no complaints because the connection is quite fast and I haven't experienced any disconnection. I hope that this relationship with Sun Cellular lasts a long time and never again will I have any problems with my internet plan.

My Beloved Laptop

I can't live without a computer. It has always been a big part of my life. Not only did I take up Computer Science in college but I have been working in the field of Information Technology for quite some time now. So when my old reliable HP desktop computer crashed, I immediately went to the mall, rented a computer and researched on which brand and model to purchase. I decided to buy a laptop since I want to bring my work anywhere I went and I've never owned one and wanted to try it. I chose Asus A8HE because from what I read and heard, performance wise it's up to par with the more sophisticated and popular brands such as Dell, Toshiba, HP, Compaq and Sony VAIO. I've been using it everyday for six months now and I must say that I'm very satisfied and happy with it. Not only is it reasonably priced (very affordable), light and sleek, but it also has so many features. It has a 14" wide TFT LCD screen that is easy on the eyes since it doesn't produce any radiation; Intel Duo T2130 Processor; 32-bit Operating System; built-in web camera; built-in microphone; built-in memory card reader which supports Secure Digital (SD), Multi-Media Card (MMC), Memory Stick (MS), Memory Stick Select (MS Select), Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick Pro, and Memory Stick Pro Duo; optical drive which supports CDs and DVDs and has CD-R and CD-RW capabilities; five USB 2.0 and 1.1 Ports; infrared port; Wireless LAN connection; bluetooth; and Express Card slot. It also comes with Windows Vista Starter. So if you're looking for a quality but cheap laptop, the Asus A8HE is the one for you. That I assure you.
