Increasing My Google Page Rank

For the past year I've been trying to get my blog's Page Rank to increase but to no avail. It's stuck in PR1. It's very frustrating because I really want to have a higher PR so that I can receive more writing opportunities from paid to post sites and direct advertisers. I've joined traffic exchange sites so I can increase traffic to my blog as well as publish posts regularly. I'm also very active in various blogger groups so I can exchange links and comments with fellow bloggers. I've done my research and saw some tips that I'll definitely keep in mind.

1.) Join forums to achieve links to your website. Make sure the forum is somewhat related to your website. You will still get credit if it’s not, but if it’s related to your website then you will be accomplishing two tasks at once.

2.) Using ezine ads (or newsletters). When you create an ezine you will be able to keep visitors coming back to your website for more by using signatures and giving special deals.

3.) Submit to search engine directories. Search engine directories are a good way to get a free link to your website. They also increase your chances at being listed higher on popular search engines. Remember the more links you have the higher your PR will be.

4.) Gain links from related websites.

5.) Writing and publishing articles. Articles are an easy source of generating new traffic. You can include your signature in your article. This will bring in more traffic from article submission directories.

It really takes time to get a high ranking PR> My site is on PR3 and it took me a year to achieve it. And now it wont go up to PR4. So hard >.>

if you are really keen on getting paid opps from advertisers, you must also make an investment like buying your own domain and then later hosting. Advertisers are afraid to gamble with free domains since mr. G can ban the blog anytime he wants to and blogger have no control once Google did that. IMHO

I understand how you feel. We are in the same shoes longing for a higher PR. In fact one of my blogs step down and it really sucks.
