I was so happy this morning upon seeing an email from the site Slicethepie, a GPT (Get-Paid-To) Site. I have reached minimum payout from this site three days ago. Though it's just a little over 5 pounds, it's still great. At least I know that they're a legitimate site. And I got paid for all my effort. I actually signed up with this site just about a month ago and I've reached payout already. To think that I'm so busy with other things. In case it's unfamiliar to you guys, it's a site where you get paid to write reviews of music tracks. You enter a Scout Room and review the music after listening to it for 60 seconds. You're paid 0.03 pounds per track. That is, if you're a one star 'Scout' (that's the term they use for reviewers). But the pay per track increases as your Scout rating increases (though it's still vague to me how my Scout rating will increase). I also love it because they pay via Paypal and they pay really fast. You just have to be patient listening to some of the tracks since they're quite awful. Plus, you have to choose your words carefully since repetition of words is not allowed. But still, it's one highly recommended site.

Sense and Scents-ibilities
I like wearing perfume. It makes me feel more feminine, clean, and fresh. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way. Below are some facts about perfume that perfume lovers like me ought to know.
1.) Consider the climate or weather in choosing a perfume. Scent will evaporate sooner in warm weather and cold weather strengthens them.
2.) Never apply perfume behind the ears because the sebaceous glands in the area can affect the way the perfume smells.
3.) Don't try more than two scents at a time.
4.) Store your perfume, colognes, and eau de toilette in the refrigerator to lengthen their shelf life. Keep in mind that perfume can last up to three years from the date it was bottled.
5.) Know your skin type because scents stick longer on oily skin and evaporate faster on dry skin.
PTC Nightmare
For the nth time this morning I checked my Alertpay account. You see, I've been waiting for my payments in the various PTC (Paid to Click) Programs I've signed up with. But sadly not a single cent was added to the $3 I received from Neobux. I have reached the minimum payout of $10 for the site Foxcash, $12 for Bux.to, $10 for Xclix, and another $10 for Earn3. All in the last week of July and I immediately requested for payment. I hope that I'll be paid this September but with all the DDOS attacks on several PTC sites and difficulty accessing most of these sites, I'm not even sure anymore if I would get paid. I hate to think that I spent countless hours clicking ads for nothing. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm actually waiting until the end of September and if I don't get paid, I guess I'll just have to quit all these PTC sites altogether.

Great Hair Day
The hair is our crowning glory. That's what most people say. I think so too. A bad haircut could make you look unattractive while a great one would make you look like a movie star. That's why it's so important to go to a salon that you truly trust and where you're sure would give you the best service there is. A couple of days ago I decided to get my long hair shortened to a more hip and modern style, none other than the bob. I went to the SM Mall of Asia because you can find almost all the top salons under one roof. I wanted to go to David's Salon but my cousin suggested that we go to the Headway Salon instead. I wanted to try something new and be adventurous for once so I agreed. Headway Salon offers many services such as haircutting, hair coloring, manicure, pedicure, threading, hand and foot spa, waxing, and shaving. We arrived very early so we were the first ones to be serviced, which made me really happy because I didn't like to wait. The hair stylist immediately cut my hair and I was a bit surprised because she didn't shampoo it. It turns out that you have a choice whether you want your hair to be shampooed or not. Haircut with shampoo costs P200 while without shampoo is just P150. This is actually great when you're in a hurry. I love my hair. The hairstylist was able to get the hairstyle I like and she worked really fast. The crew were all nice and very accomodating. I felt at home. But the thing I liked most in Headway Salon is it's interiors. The salon is split in half, with one side for men and the other side for women. It caters to all genders so both you and your partner can have a haircut. Even kids can have their haircuts. They are reasonably priced so everyone can afford their services. They even have a total hair treatment (hot oil with scalp therapy) which costs only P500. Go and visit Headway Salon to see for yourself. It's located at the 2nd Floor of the South Parking Area.

Slice the Pie and Workfromhomehq
I never thought that there are a gazillion PTC (Paid to Click) and GPT (Get Paid To) sites out there. Whatever your interests are or whatever reason you may have for joining online earning sites, whether you want to earn enough money and be able to quit your day job or join just for the hang of it, there's always a site for you.
I've mentioned in a previous post that I'm searching for more money making sites and I've discovered two. I actually learned about these sites from fellow mylotters who just like me, never seem to get tired of looking for the perfect Get Paid to site.
The first site is SlicethePie. Sounds interesting enough doesn't it? It's a site where you get paid to rate and write reviews of featured bands' and/or solo singers' singles (tracks). It's also called scouting. Once you sign-up for free, you can do as many scouting as you like. You enter a 'Scout Room' and press play to listen to a track. You can only start rating and reviewing after 60 seconds of listening to the track. Rookie scouts or 1 star scouts earn 0.03 pounds per track. But the rate goes up as your scouting level increases. You can see the tips on scouting in the FAQs. I actually like the site itself because all the questions you can possibly think of are answered. It has this cool, funky, and young feel to it. They pay thru Paypal as soon as you reach 5 pounds. But beware, there are alot of really awful sounding bands you'd have to listen to. This site is promising though, so I guess I would have to make that teeny weeny sacrifice.
The other site is called Workfromhomehq. This site pays you for posting ads. It's actually a copy/paste job. Once you sign-up with them, you'd also have to sign-up with Craigslist.com because that's where you'll paste the ads. It may sound complicated but it's very easy. You'll have to listen to a 6-minute video tutorial by James Orr where he explains every step in detail. You get paid 0.15 cents per approved or verified posting. But the downside is you only get to post a maximum of 5 posts per day. Once you reach $20 you can request for payout thru Paypal.
I hope that signing-up with these sites are worth my time. I honestly have a strange feeling that they are.

My Beloved Laptop
I can't live without a computer. It has always been a big part of my life. Not only did I take up Computer Science in college but I have been working in the field of Information Technology for quite some time now. So when my old reliable HP desktop computer crashed, I immediately went to the mall, rented a computer and researched on which brand and model to purchase. I decided to buy a laptop since I want to bring my work anywhere I went and I've never owned one and wanted to try it. I chose Asus A8HE because from what I read and heard, performance wise it's up to par with the more sophisticated and popular brands such as Dell, Toshiba, HP, Compaq and Sony VAIO. I've been using it everyday for six months now and I must say that I'm very satisfied and happy with it. Not only is it reasonably priced (very affordable), light and sleek, but it also has so many features. It has a 14" wide TFT LCD screen that is easy on the eyes since it doesn't produce any radiation; Intel Duo T2130 Processor; 32-bit Operating System; built-in web camera; built-in microphone; built-in memory card reader which supports Secure Digital (SD), Multi-Media Card (MMC), Memory Stick (MS), Memory Stick Select (MS Select), Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick Pro, and Memory Stick Pro Duo; optical drive which supports CDs and DVDs and has CD-R and CD-RW capabilities; five USB 2.0 and 1.1 Ports; infrared port; Wireless LAN connection; bluetooth; and Express Card slot. It also comes with Windows Vista Starter. So if you're looking for a quality but cheap laptop, the Asus A8HE is the one for you. That I assure you.
The Crazy World of Miami Ink
This show is surely alot of fun. I instantly became a fan of this show the first time I watched it in Discovery Travel and Living. I'm not into tattoos but now I want to get one. But I want someone from Miami Ink to do the tattooing (hehe). This show chronicles the personal and professional lives of six tattoo artists; Ami James, Chris Nunez, Chris Garver, Darren Brass, Yoji Harada, and this new guy Tim from a shop in Miami Beach named Love Hate. It also tells the stories behind each customer's tattoo. Some are really very touching. But what's so interesting about this show are the artists themselves. Let's face it, there are still people out there who look at people with tattoos differently, especially those with almost half their bodies tattooed. But these guys are true artists. I'm amazed at how good and talented they are. I especially like Chris Garver who I think is the best and nicest among all of them. Even the artists themselves look up to him and ask his help when they're having trouble with a tattoo. I also like Ami James, one of the shop's owners. He's cranky most of the time and sometimes acts as if he's God, but in my opinion he's the most dedicated, at least as far as the shop's concerned and the one with the most colorful personality. Not at all afraid of what people would say about him. I must say I enjoyed it very much when he and Kat Von D (former artist in the shop) had a big fight. This is one refreshing and unique reality show that alot of people would surely love and enjoy.
