Heavenly Flavors at Buffet 101 International Cuisine

My sister and her family had a short vacation two weeks ago from China. For our last dinner before they went to San Francisco, CA where they will spend their Christmas, we went to Buffet 101 International Cuisine. I saw the restaurant from the hotel room where they're staying and immediately googled it. I was rather taken aback with the price because it was more expensive than Vikings but I was still curious since I read several reviews about it and all were positive.

We went there around 5:30 pm on a Friday and didn't have any difficulty reserving our seats but waited for another 30 minutes to get in. As we were escorted to our seats I noticed how beautiful the interiors were. It was as if I was dining in a five-star hotel. The place was really spacious and the ambiance, really classy. But I was rather speechless with the food. It was incredible! I can't even remember how much I ate that night. I would have to say I've never been more full in my life. There's a wide choice of Filipino, American, Italian, Japanese, and French cuisine. I ate chicken, Italian pizza, California maki, mashed potato, fresh vegetable salad, salmon sashimi, quesadilla, and spicy frankfurters. For dessert I had cream puff, tiramisu, and parfait. For drinks I had mango juice. I wanted to eat more but my tummy couldn't take any more. As we headed home, I promised myself that I would come back for more of their heavenly dishes.

New Orleans Bourbon Street Steaks & Oysters

Last Friday my friend and I went to New Orleans Bourbon Street Steaks & Oysters for a late lunch. Upon entering we were greeted by smiling faces and a nice ambiance. The room was dimly lit and there were artistic drawings on the walls. We ordered the sizzling hot and yummy Rockefeller Oyster, Caesar Salad, and the Baked and Blackened Chicken (delicious roasted chicken with grilled veggies and roasted garlic mashed potatoes). The food tastes heavenly and the serving is more than enough for two people. I like the fact that the food was reasonably priced and that the place was not crowded. I was able to enjoy my meal immensely.

Special Day at the Oakroom Restaurant

Two weeks ago I won 2 gift certificates from Spot.ph for a complimentary breakfast buffet at the Oakroom Restaurant located at the Oakwood Premier Jo - Nostalg Center. I was able to finally use them yesterday with my friend Jenny. Though it took us a while to get to Oakwood which is in Ortigas coming from Pasay City because of the traffic (we left at 8:30 am), we arrived on time with still a lot of food left on the buffet table. The hotel itself looked really nice and elegant and the staff are polite. There were only a handful of people in the restaurant which is what I preferred since I hate crowded places. Oakroom Restaurant is spacious and bright with beautiful furnishings all around. Immediately after we were ushered to our seats near the buffet table, we proceeded to get our food. There was a wide array of food like bacon, frankfurters, omelette, carbonara, different kinds of bread and danish pastries, as well as assorted nuts. We chose to drink orange and mango juices instead of coffee and tea. Everything was delicious and I was so full after the meal. I also liked the restaurant's ambiance which is elegant but not really intimidating. Overall it was a wonderful dining experience that I hope would happen again.

I joined Enjoy Philippines' Fun Flick Fest contest on a whim. I didn't really send a video entry but I "Liked" several entries. Liking or voting for entries gives you the chance to win P500 worth of Gift Certificates. So it was really a pleasant surprise when I won along with two other contestants. Last week the GC was delivered at my doorstep and instead of the P500 denomination it was P600 and was for Machiavelli Chocolatier New York. My Sun Cellular Easy Broadband SIM Plan

I recently changed my Sun Broadband Wireless Plan 350 Lite to Easy Broadband SIM Only (because I already have the USB modem). I realized that the free 45 hours that Plan 350 Lite offers is just not enough since I'm infront of my lappy almost all day. It usually lasts only 12 days for me. For the rest of the days remaining I buy the P50 unlimited internet (good for one day) and when you compute that it's just too much especially for someone like me whose on a budget. With the Easy Broadband I'm able to enjoy up to 2 Mbps speed of unlimited internet for only P799 a month. Plus there's no holding period so if ever you get dissatisfied with their service you can always look for a better broadband deal. What I like the most though is how easy it is to apply for this broadband plan. You don't have to present any documents, simply show a valid ID and fill out the application form. I have a huge issue when it comes to how fast the processing period is because I waited almost three months only having to find out in the end that my application was rejected when I applied for a PLDT MyDSL (but that's another story). So far I have no complaints because the connection is quite fast and I haven't experienced any disconnection. I hope that this relationship with Sun Cellular lasts a long time and never again will I have any problems with my internet plan.

Great Hair Day

The hair is our crowning glory. That's what most people say. I think so too. A bad haircut could make you look unattractive while a great one would make you look like a movie star. That's why it's so important to go to a salon that you truly trust and where you're sure would give you the best service there is. A couple of days ago I decided to get my long hair shortened to a more hip and modern style, none other than the bob. I went to the SM Mall of Asia because you can find almost all the top salons under one roof. I wanted to go to David's Salon but my cousin suggested that we go to the Headway Salon instead. I wanted to try something new and be adventurous for once so I agreed. Headway Salon offers many services such as haircutting, hair coloring, manicure, pedicure, threading, hand and foot spa, waxing, and shaving. We arrived very early so we were the first ones to be serviced, which made me really happy because I didn't like to wait. The hair stylist immediately cut my hair and I was a bit surprised because she didn't shampoo it. It turns out that you have a choice whether you want your hair to be shampooed or not. Haircut with shampoo costs P200 while without shampoo is just P150. This is actually great when you're in a hurry. I love my hair. The hairstylist was able to get the hairstyle I like and she worked really fast. The crew were all nice and very accomodating. I felt at home. But the thing I liked most in Headway Salon is it's interiors. The salon is split in half, with one side for men and the other side for women. It caters to all genders so both you and your partner can have a haircut. Even kids can have their haircuts. They are reasonably priced so everyone can afford their services. I can't live without a computer. It has always been a big part of my life. Not only did I take up Computer Science in college but I have been working in the field of Information Technology for quite some time now.
