I'm never the "mapanghingi type". Sadly, sometimes women are stereo-typed to be like that and I quite resent it because I'm not and never will be one. I see myself as being independent and self-sufficient in terms of getting or buying the things I want. When I want something, I work really hard so I can buy it. I even stop myself from going to the mall or dining out just so I can save money. But it's different when a friend or someone special gives you something. It would be so rude if you don't accept the gift. As the saying goes, whatever blessings that come your way you should receive them with open arms. So when that happens I just give them my brightest smile and my whole hearted thank you.
