Oscar Pistorius: Blade Runner

I saw a replay of Oscar Pistorius' historic run at the London Olympics this afternoon. For those of you who don't know him, he's the double amputee runner from South Africa who just became the first man to compete in both the Paralympics and Olympics. Also known as "Blade Runner", Pistorius finished second in his heat and qualified in the semifinals of the 400m. The first time I heard his life story in CNN and his bid for an Olympic seat, I instantly became in awe of this man. His courage, hard work, and perseverance is simply inspiring. I wish other people who are able bodied but lazy hear his story and learn from him. I also hope he wins the gold. I almost forgot to mention, he's good looking too. :)

Inspiring! Who says your handicap can hinder what you would want in life. He's a real athlete to the truest sense of the word!

This is so inspiring. Haven't watched any of the Olympic Games though, but it makes me realize that we can do anything if we're passionate about it. :)
